Your little one deserves beautiful images in a safe environment. As a former NICU nurse and newborn care specialist, you can rest easy knowing that I will take care of all of your baby's needs while he or she is in the studio. From feeding, burping, diapers... I will handle it all. Sit back, enjoy a snack, surf the net or take a little nap. You'll leave feeling refreshed and excited to see all the beautiful images from your session!

After each session, I will select the best 5, 10, 20, or 30 images to be edited an included in the finished gallery. No raw images or unedited images will be available for viewing or for purchase.

Optional parent and/or sibling photos in studio are included in the Classic and Deluxe sessions. These poses include one shot with parent and baby, and one shot with siblings and baby. The rest of the session will be focused on your newborn only. If you are wanting a more family centered session, the outdoor session will be best suited for this.

Newborn sessions take place in my in home studio. The space is cozy and just perfect for newborn sessions. Due to the size of the space, visitors are limited to immediate family only (i.e. mom, dad, siblings and baby) If you will be including a shot with big brother or sister, I HIGHLY recommend having Dad come at the end of the session with the older siblings. This will give us a quiet space to have a peaceful workflow with your newborn.

During newborn sessions, I will follow the cues from your baby. I never force any infant into a pose that is unsafe or uncomfortable for the baby. Not all babies are willing to do every type of newborn pose, in that case, I always follow the natural flow of baby. Swaddled or wrapped up poses may take the place of certain newborn poses if baby is unable to settle into the typical poses.

For any questions, please feel free to reach out. I'm happy to chat about your future session!

Common Questions About Your Newborn Photography Session

  • What is your experience?

As a neo-natal ICU nurse for 10 years I can assure the best care for your newborn. In addition I am a certified breastfeeding and newborn care specialist.

My experience as a newborn only photographer for over eight years will ensure you have cherished photographs of your precious little one.

  • Where is the Studio Location?

My studio is located in Wentworth, NH.  I service the NH, VT, ME, MA and Boston area.

  • What are your business hours?

    Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Appointment only.

  • Studio Photography FAQ

Visit the About for more information on studio photography sessions.

  • When should you book your newborn photography session?

Photography sessions take place during the first 25 days of life while babies are still flexible to curl into those sweet, sleeping poses. To ensure availability, I suggest booking in the 2nd trimester. (If your baby is already here, feel free to inquire about a last minute session. I will do my best to accommodate you in the first 25 days.) When you book, I pencil your due date on my calendar to secure your session. When your little one arrives you will need to contact me within 48 hours to schedule the actual session during the first 25 days. So there is absolutely no need to worry if your little one decides to come a little earlier or later.

  • What to expect from your newborn baby photography session...

Newborn baby photography services take place in my studio located in NH. Sessions typically last from 2 to 3 hours. Much of this time is spent feeding, rocking and soothing baby into a deep sleep. Your newborn photography session is a great time to relax, kick your shoes off, sip on a cup of coffee and let me do the rest. You can be sure that your baby is in good hands, as I have over ten years of professional experience with newborn babies.

  • What is the style of photos?

Have you taken a peek at my gallery of work? View my portfolio. My style is very simple with minimal props. I love the use of color, neutrals, and textures. I love to showcase those squishy back wrinkles, and oh boy, do I ever love a baby in a bucket! If there is a certain heirloom item or prop that you would like to incorporate during your session, I will definitely try to include this. However, please limit outside props to one per session. If you love my style, contact me

  • What should you bring to your newborn photography session?

All you need to bring is formula and/or breast milk and your sweet baby. I also highly encourage you to consider offering a pacifier to baby during the session. Although it is true that newborns sleep the majority of their day during this stage at home, it is a little different during the photo session. In the studio we are transitioning from one pose to the next, wrapping and unwrapping while trying to keep baby asleep. In order to keep baby content during this time a pacifier can be a big help.

  • For NICU graduates…

For babies that spend time in NICU, not to worry, we can still do a session after discharge. If your baby is in NICU, you will need to contact me BEFORE discharge so that we can get them in the studio as soon as possible after they get home. If you have already booked a session with me, please still contact me as soon as baby is born. We will keep an open conversation with updates on possible discharge dates to get you in the studio as soon as possible after discharge.
